Ada Lovelace: Legacy of the Analytical Engine

In 2017, I released a small solitaire game called Ada Lovelace: Consulting Mathematician. The game was an experiment to see if I could make a solitaire version of Tag City and wasn't meant to amount to much. The theme was chosen on a whim and it was made in a hurry. And... well... it's now probably one of my most popular games!

I've always wanted to take the game and really do justice to it - to improve the visuals and elevate the best parts. So in the midst of a corona-virus induced lockdown in 2020, I started working on the sequel.

Ada Lovelace: Legacy of the Analytical Engine takes the bones of Ada Lovelace: Consulting Mathematician and turns them into a far richer experience. Now players are not only puzzling with polyomino shapes in a single-player game, they are working their way through a campaign game, with a developed narrative, character upgrades, secrets, new mechanics - all sorts of fun little twists.

Legacy of the Analytical Engine includes 10 crime scenes split across 9 different missions - yes, it's 10 times the size of Ada Lovelace: Consulting Mathematician, before you start counting all the things that go on between missions. The moment you start applying upgrades to your character sheet, you will be hooked!

I'm really proud of Ada Lovelace: Legacy of the Analytical Engine and think it's finally done justice to the original fun idea. You can buy and download it at or Payhip.
